I came from Ukraine to United States in 2004. My name was known throughout the Western Ukraine. I worked as an editor for a newspaper. When I came to New York, I had to face many choices. What am I going to do next? Who am I going to be? How can I adapt to the American lifestyle in order to become a respected, American citizen? As I was looking through russian newspapers in hopes of finding a job, I came across an advertisement for ASA College. The ASA College had to offer many things. This interested me because I could choose to learn english and to receive a diploma in an area of study that interests me the most. Five years have passed in ASA College where I worked and studied. I became a U.S. citizen and at the same time received an occupation as a medical assistant. In my heart, though, I'm always going to be a dedicated journalist. In this blog, I'm going to write about the students, the workers and the events that happen in the ASA College. You're welcome to comment and express your opinions on the posts of the blog.
Sincerely, Antonina Pelyo
